CHRISTOPHER A. MOELLER, M.D., ANNOUNCES PLANS TO RELOCATE TO WILSON ESTATES MEDICAL
PARK
(Wichita, KS) – Christopher A. Moeller, M.D., a board-certified dermatologist
whose practice includes The Center for Skin Enhancement, announced plans
today to relocate his multi-faceted operation to Wilson Estates Medical
Park. George E. Laham, II, of Laham Development, announced that Moeller’s
clinic will be situated at the main entrance of the new 33-acre Medical
Park being developed by Laham Development and Ritchie Associates at 21st
Street and Webb Road.
Patient convenience and expansion of services are cited as key factors in the
relocation, said Moeller, whose practice specializes in the treatment
of the skin – dermatological, surgical, and cosmetic. On the dermatology
side, Moeller’s practice encompasses treatment of skin conditions
and diseases, with a specialty in skin cancer. Since 1989 he has
served as director of the American Academy of Dermatology’s Annual
Wichita Area Skin Cancer Screening Clinic through which an estimated
3,641 cases of skin cancer have been detected to date in clinic
attendees.
Clients of Moeller’s cosmetic services will appreciate
the amenities of the new building, including a private entrance
for clients undergoing cosmetic procedures, curbside parking and
a comfortable, spacious interior. Along with the Mediterranean-style
limestone and stucco façade, Moeller’s clinic will be designed
with several distinguishing characteristics, such as a classical
arched entryway and diagonally-set, landscaped colonnade at the
entrance.
Additional building ornamentation unique to the
development will be added to the Moeller building, making it a
feature structure of Wilson Estates Medical Park. The 9,400-sq.
ft. clinic will be situated at the northeast corner of the development’s
main entrance at Wilson Estates Parkway & Webb Road. In his current location at 7015 E. Central, Moeller’s practice occupies
5,200-sq. ft. of space, an expansion of his original lease of 2,800-sq.
ft. in April 2001.
Moeller’s new clinic will have space for four
practitioners, four treatment rooms in the cosmetic area, three
surgery suites and twelve examination rooms. In addition to the
traditional dermatology services, he said the expansion will allow
for additional services on the leading edge of skin care.
“Aside from the comfort and convenience the new
building will offer to our patients, the new building will allow
us to expand our surgical and cosmetic services,” said Moeller.
Currently Moeller’s practice offers two treatments otherwise unavailable
locally: Prolitetm facials for treatment of facial redness, flushing
and pigmentation problems, and CoolTouch II®, a patented laser
technology for treatment of wrinkles, acne scarring and stretch
marks.
On-Site Board-Certified Dermatologist Unique for
Area Cosmetic Clients
Moeller’s clientele comes from all over Kansas for treatment, surgery,
and cosmetic procedures either performed or supervised by Moeller
himself. For cosmetic procedures such as Botox®, Microdermabrasion
and chemical peels, clients have access to procedures otherwise
unavailable locally, with the additional confidence of being either
performed or supervised by a board-certified, on-site dermatologist.
While Moeller’s regional business is one reason
the Wilson Estates Medical Park location was attractive to his
practice, the collection of a wide range of health care providers
in one location provided further incentive. “The proximity to K-96
will be beneficial for our patients who travel from across Kansas,”
he said. “Laham Development continues to attract a cross-section
of the area’s best practitioners to the Medical Park, so our clients
will benefit by being able to seek other medical services at the
same location.”
Staff Additions Anticipated With Move to Medical
Park
Two certified physician assistants are currently on Moeller’s staff.
Tim Weide, P.A.C., and Karen Bohaty, P.A.C., are trained with a
specialty in dermatology. Currently with 17 employees, Moeller’s
staff could increase by up to 30% with the move to Wilson Estates
Medical Park as the group will need additional support in patient
care, administration and clerical. One additional physician also
will be added.
Moeller’s practice joins Grene Vision Group who
recently announced the development of a 30,000-sq. ft. building
at Wilson Estates Medical Park, and Oral & Maxillofacial Associates, who announced plans last week for a 7,500-sq. ft.
clinic. In an adjacent Laham Development project, Legacy Park –
Wilson Estates, Prairie View, the state’s largest private behavioral
and mental health services provider, recently announced the purchase
of a 122,000-sq. ft space.
Designed for state-of-the-art healthcare and convenience,
Wilson Estates Medical Park will include up to 220,000-sq. ft.
of offices and as many as 16 buildings amid a spacious, campus-style
setting offering an array of healthcare services. In keeping with
the development’s patient-centered focus, each building in Wilson
Estates Medical Park will be visible from a single loop drive,
making all medical offices accessible from one central roadway.
A traffic signal will be installed at Wilson Estates Parkway and
Webb Road.
Wilson Estates Medical Park will feature abundant
green space and doorside parking, and will reflect the distinctive
architectural style of Bradley Fair and Wilson Estates with additional
masonry detailing. Strategically located near K-96 Expressway and
the I-35 Andover Turnpike, Wilson Estates Medical Park will be
minutes from fast-growing northeast Wichita neighborhoods, Bradley
Fair shopping center, the Hilton Garden Inn, and offices such as
Wilson Estates Office Park and Legacy Park. Plans for the development
were announced earlier this year.
Project architect for Wilson Estates Medical Park
is Shelden Architecture. J.P. Weigand & Sons is the exclusive broker. Financing is provided by Intrust Bank. |
