HARTMAN OIL CO., INC. ANNOUNCES CONSTRUCTION OF NEW OFFICE
AT 13TH STREET & GREENWICH ROAD
(Wichita, KS) - Hartman Oil Co., Inc. has announced the construction of a new corporate headquarters on the northwest corner of 13th Street and Greenwich Road. The 44,000 square foot office building will be located in the master-planned development, recently announced as a joint venture of Laham Development and Devlin Enterprises. The oil and gas exploration company will occupy 14,000 square feet and lease the remaining office space. The announcement was made by Cathy Erickson, Vice-President of Laham Development.
The growth of the company, over the past four years, prompted Hartman to look for a new corporate location. Hartman's decision to move to the 13th and Greenwich development was based on the distinctiveness and excellence of the overall plan. Hartman Oil's building will reflect a classic, European manor style that conveys a timeless look of warmth and elegance. A tumbled brick exterior will feature copper roofing accents over the main entry. "I wanted to achieve beauty and quality in design with public appeal;" said Hartman, "I think the building has a traditional Old World appearance, without stuffiness." Hartman personally chose the exterior components by comparing some of the finest buildings in the country. Groundbreaking for the project will be held in the next few weeks, with completion scheduled for spring 2008. Shelden Architecture is the project architect.
The Hartman Oil building will set the design tone for the entire high-end development, which will include a 250,000 square foot Class A office park comprised of up to six individual buildings, 130,000 square feet of retail space and 55 acres of upscale residences. The recently announced residential component will be built by Ritchie Development. A landscaped tree-lined parkway entrance will provide access from 13th Street. The office and retail development will include multiple landscaped commons areas reminiscent of manor grounds, in keeping with the buildings' architectural designs.
