Located near Fall River, Kansas, the 5,000 acre Flint Oak Ranch was founded in 1979 by Ray and Winona Walton. Flint Oak originated as a private member hunting club and thrived under the Walton’s goal of providing "good, old fashioned bird hunting at its best". Since its inception, Flint Oak has become known as "America's Premier Hunting Resort".
Flint Oak holds the prestigious Five Star Rating from the National Association of Shooting Ranges. To meet the criteria of a five star rating, a facility must demonstrate excellence in all aspects of management and operations of their business. The Five Star Rating is the association's highest honor and places Flint Oak among the top shooting facilities in the country.
Flint Oak Ranch offers extensive hunting, meeting and social accommodations. The main lodge houses 40 double hotel rooms and includes a 140-seat restaurant featuring regional specialties and an excellent wine list, large and small meeting rooms, bar, lounge, billiards game room, Flint Oak Pro Shop and swimming pool. Small lodges and bunkhouses combine for a total of 140 guest beds on the property. The shooting sports facility includes two world-class international Sporting Clays Courses with bronze statues that depict the targets simulated at each station, a 5-stand and a skeet and trap field. Guests from around the world enjoy Flint Oak’s unique field hunts for upland game birds, driven European style pheasant shoots, as well as deer, duck, dove and wild turkey hunting. Guided trophy bass fishing will begin this year on a new trophy bass lake.
Flint Oak is a membership based club, with current membership from a majority of states in the United States. Flint Oak offers both hunt and social memberships. During the non-hunting season, Flint Oak's facilities are open to the public for business meetings, company picnics, reunions, fishing, trail riding and a variety of other outdoor summer activities.
